From Conversation to Action: Driving Organizational Change in the Evolving Law Enforcement Landscape
WORKSHOP
As law enforcement agencies navigate increasing operational demands, workforce pressures, and a growing first responder mental health crisis, personnel at every level have an opportunity to drive organizational change while maintaining public trust, strengthening resilience, and ensuring mission readiness.
Closing the inaugural Howard C. Liebengood Foundation Symposium on October 1 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, this interactive workshop will be facilitated by Michelle Barton, PhD, a professor of practice at the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School and Christopher Myers, PhD, the inaugural Peetz Family Professor of Leadership, professor of Management & Organization, and the founding faculty director of the Center for Innovative Leadership at the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School.
Moving the conversation from awareness to action, participants will explore practical, field-tested strategies for implementing sustainable change initiatives that support officer wellness, organizational resilience, and healthy agency culture.
Designed for all law enforcement and public safety professionals, the workshop provides hands-on tools to help participants:
Foster more trust, collaboration, and buy-in across ranks and roles
Recognize opportunities to positively influence agency culture
Support practical implementation strategies
Identify short-term wins that sustain momentum
Through facilitated discussion and collaborative exercises, attendees will leave with actionable frameworks they can apply within their agencies, teams, and communities.
Open to sworn and civilian personnel of all ranks, wellness coordinators, peer support teams, and anyone committed to organizational improvement and workforce wellbeing.
