Enid Chung Roemer, PhD

Enid Chung Roemer, PhD, is a Senior Scientist in the Department of Health, Behavior and Society, and Deputy Director at the Institute for Health and Productivity Studies, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She has 20 years of experience conducting measurement and research examining the impact of workplace health promotion and protection programs on both individual and organizational health, well-being, safety and productivity outcomes. Her expertise includes developing survey instruments and methodologies for conducting structure, process, and outcomes evaluation of workplace health promotion programs, as well as conducting instrument validation studies on organizational and individual health assessment tools. Dr. Roemer is among the core research faculty of the John Hopkins P.O.E. Total Worker Health Center in Mental Health and the Hopkins Business on Health Initiative. She is also a founding Advisory Committee Co-Chair of the Carolyn C. Mattingly Award for Mental Health in the Workplace.

Dr. Roemer earned her doctorate in Applied Social Psychology from The George Washington University, and her BA degree in Psychology from Wellesley College.
